Aneesha is a writer, director and researcher from Pune, India. She is Resident Director at the Royal Court Theatre.

 

Recent directing credits include BROWN GIRLS DO IT TOO: Mama Told Me Not To Come (Soho Theatre & on tour: 2022) and OffComm commended Before I Was A Bear (2022, 2019) at the Soho & Bunker Theatres. Her play 10 ways to have the perfect conversation was R&Ded at the Gate Theatre in June 2021. Read some reviews of her work here.

She was Assistant Producer on the award-winning documentary "Baiting the Scammers" on scammers and scambaiters in India for Channel News Asia (2022), produced by Black Leaf Films.

Aneesha has conducted workshops on teaching, writing and researching identity at the Young Vic Theatre, the Central School of Speech and Drama, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and Part of the Main Theatre. She was on the curatorial panel for Guildhall's DISRUPT festival in 2021.
